Jerry Zalenski, born in 1959, the youngest of eight children, raised by loving parents Joseph and Estelle Zalenski.
In his early days of mechanical engineering, Jerry was known as an introvert. But with his introduction to "How to Win Friends and Influence People", and the "Dale Carnegie" sales organization, Jerry broke out of his shell and began helping others in any way he could.
With this new success training under his belt, Jerry quickly advanced and became a very powerful motivational speaker. He was hired to travel throughout the United States, at times being in a different state each day. He taught thousands of new business owners how to be more positive, how to be more confident, and how to set goals they could realistically achieve for their business, as well as their personal life.
Jerry was actively sought to serve on the board of directors and advisory boards of both established and emerging companies to help increase their sales and profits, and also to assist with the motivation of their corporate staff and sales people.
With all this experience, Jerry took his skills, knowledge, and confidence and started Secure Independence in 1987.
Not only did Secure Independence do everything from product distribution, fulfillment and delivery to customers, they also created and marketed their own products and services to thousands of happy customers throughout the years.
Then, as the Internet evolved, so did Secure Independence. Now they are considered a leading provider of advanced, effective technologies in web site design, web site hosting, search engine optimization, and digital internet advertising.
As Jerry will tell you, "at Secure Independence, we pride ourselves in keeping our prices low and giving the best possible service". Jerry also pointed out, "of all the companies I've traveled to and assisted, I don't know of any other company that has paid out anywhere near the millions of dollars we've paid to our affiliates and resellers who have promoted our services. We're very proud of our resellers and what they have accomplished. It just goes to show you what people can do when you give them a great service to promote".
Jerry's traveling days are now over. He currently over-sees the entire operation, delegating the work to his skilled team. He looks at everyone he works with as a part of his family. He emphasizes that "no one is on any kind of an ego trip here. We all work together as one cohesive family and team". And he wouldn't have it any other way.
Jerry also believes you should have fun with what you're doing. When I asked him if I could take his picture, he grabbed a sign and said the following... "If you're going to take my picture, I'm going to have some fun with it, and advertise at the same time. If you can't have fun with what you're doing, or if you don't enjoy it, find another job. And if you're not constantly promoting your website, you shouldn't be in business!". He's not afraid to have fun, just like with his sign, and he's constantly promoting.
Today, Jerry continues to answer as many phone calls as he can. It's something he loves to do, and it's his way of keeping up with the needs of people out in the field. He's known as the "blue man", with his daily attire of long sleeve blue jean shirts and blue jean pants.
He also considers himself a "health nut" who lives mostly on avocados and vegetables. It's also hard to understand Jerry's high energy level, when you find out that he averages only four hours of sleep per day. At 5'10" and 135 lbs., Jerry is always happy to teach others how to maintain healthy life styles through proper diet.
And if you see Jerry driving around town, or walking anywhere in public, you will see him promoting happiness through his Christian faith. On the back of his car and the back of his shirts it says... "If God willing, may you have a blessed day". If you stop and talk with him, he'll give you a card where on one side is says... "If God willing, may you have a blessed day" and on the other side it has a poem he wrote when he was thirteen years old. It says... "If I trust my neighbor and I trust my friend, my heart will be fulfilled, my future will have no end. If I truly give more than what I receive, I will learn to love, care and believe."
And finally, Jerry is also known as a musician and song writer. His favorite song he wrote was a tribute to his mom who passed away in 2014. We included a copy of that video below.
So, our hats go off to an extremely down-to-earth, easy-going, high-energy Christian guy, who has made a life out of helping other people achieve their goals.
